is the average gpa on the uc's website the a-g gpa or the total high school gpa??
becuase my school requires lots of non academic class to graduate like driving education/health and two years of pe...which means i miss 3classes that i could take more science or other academic classes.

same here... i had two take health... no point... i wanted take chemistry and physcis together and they didnt let me cuz of stupid health class... its POINTLESS.... I FEEL YOUR PAIN

i could take honor chem this year instead of driving ed,...

i feel your pain

It's the A-G GPA. Each high school does GPA differently, so high school GPA isn't a good way to compare candidates. Colleges take your grades and recalculate GPA according to the college's GPA system. Besides, on the UC Application there's no spaces for health, life skills, and PE. The UC App gives you drop down boxes and checkboxes for all the classes your high school offers. You can put those classes in if you want where they ask for additional unlisted classes, but they probably won't be counted in the GPA.

thanks amlariul.......

My pleasure. ^^v Haha imagine my surprise when I found out my school offers Shakespeare as a class...gosh. All the things I find out about my school from the UCApp...

I got into UCLA and UCB. xD

amlariul: when/how did you find out about UCLA and UCB? regents?

yea. if you get a Regent's Scholarship app/invite, you're in. they just don't want to tell you officially.
