Question about UCSD minors??

I'm applying as an econ major for UCSD and I've seen that they have the Rady School of Management, which is geared towards students who want a minor in Accounting or Business. I'm taking an Intro to Business, Financial Accounting and C++ course at my JC for UCR Business Admin Major. Upon reviewing the Business Minor at UCSD some of the courses I'm taking at my CC are the same. So my question is, would I have to re-take them at UCSD or will I get the credit for them? Also can I declare a minor in The UC application or do I have to be accepted first. Finally, what would you say a safe GPA is for an econ major heading to UCSD with a TAG (I have a 3.6 currently)?

Lower division classes like financial accounting and managerial accounting will transfer.

You declare the minor after you transfer.

@iTransfer How competitive would you say the econ department at UCSD is? Also I’m using TAG, but can I stil be rejected from the econ major and accepted too the school? Finally what is the average GPA do you think would secure me a spot if you had to guess??

^
I don’t go to UCSD. However, the major is not impacted over there so if you are able to TAG into the school, you should be able to declare it easily.

I would be only worried if you are in an impacted major like bio, bioengineering, ME, etc…
