The website says that the Coalition App for Maryland will not go live until the middle of August, but I’m trying to get organized now. Does anyone know if they will still accept a resume like they did under the old system? I have several items that I’d like to include but don’t have room in the Coalition App’s general boxes. In the common app, I was able to fit this information in the “additional information” section but the Coalition App doesn’t seem to have that.
This is the first year that UMD is using the Coalition App, so it’s unlikely that many of the UMD posters will have answers regarding the your question. Hopefully, someone new will be able to provide an answer later in the month.
Thanks. I had been wondering if somebody maybe had some advance scoop from talking to admissions or going on a tour.
Your best bet, if it’s feasible for you, is to attend an information session yourself. I went to two of them - one for each of my kids to make sure I had the most accurate and up-to-date info. Failing that, call admissions directly to ask.
UMD is only meeting with counselors and schools starting this week, so no intel yet.
you can upload a resume in the Coalition App (to your locker)
To Maryversity, I already went on a tour several months ago. Was just wondering if somebody had recent information.
I am able to see UMD now on the coalition app. I had another question about Extracurricular section. It says to only write one sentence describing the activity, but doesn’t mention a character limit. As there is no preview functionality, I am not sure if everything that we type will be visible to the college. Any thoughts?
As SoofDad pointed out, this is the first year Maryland is using the Coalition App, so honestly, the best bet for questions is to contact Maryland directly.
