I am intrested in going to the University of Alabama, but i kind of have a problem i dont want to make my parents pay the 26k a year to go hear so i have 2 questions

1) I have a 3.4 GPA , it is unweighted but the thing is my school only does unweighted GPA if you put a weight on all my Honors/AP classes it will probably be way higher. I saw that you have to have a 3.5 to qualify for the scholarships, is there any way they could be a little lenient with that? (i have a 32 on my ACT)

2) How hard or easy is it to become an Alabama citizen for the purpose of getting the instate tuition?

Most colleges review holistically, I remember I asked them about the full-ride scholarship stats and they said that those were just the ones they preferred not necessarily the ones you have to have.

To become an Alabama resident you have to live there without the sole intent of getting an education. Basically you have to show them you're gonna be in Alabama for the purpose of staying and living there, not just to knock down the tuition price.
