Question about USConnect

Hi,

On my USConnect, under "Application Documents", in the "Document Library", it states "Appeal of Admission decision." Does anyone else have the same thing? D any EA applicants that were admitted have this before they got in? Could this be a pre-cursor for denial of admissions? Thank you!

I have this too, but I think it’s likely everyone does. Most of the things in the document library don’t apply to me so I’d assume every doc option is displayed for everyone and they are not filtered for each student. Good luck!

I have it, too, but I think everyone might. Clicking on the link for it doesn’t bring up an appeal form.

Also if you click on the link for “transcript” and click the link for the downloadable form, the cover page .pdf has an option on it that says “I am applying to USC for…” and the options are Spring, Fall, and Summer…2005 lol

I don’t have that on mine.

I checked my Document Library last night and this morning. It appears it has changed for me. It now has these first few things in the checklist:

Appeal Concerning Change in Enrollment Plans
Appeal Concerning Change in Housing Plans
Appeal Concerning Expected Contribution
Appeal Concerning Increase in Estimated Cost of Attendance
Appeal Concerning Late Financial Aid Application
Appeal Concerning Work-Study or Loan Change

However, my Document Library does not have “Appeal of Admission Decision” anywhere in the library. Could this indicate early acceptance perhaps? All of my things in my Document Library deal with how I’m going to pay for what at USC! It’s either I’ve been accepted or they still want to get some money from mexD

There could be something to this. Will have to check this out.

Just checked my d’s and hers says Appeal of Admission Decision too. She’s already had some rejections this week and it’s going to be really rough if she gets rejected at USC too, which is probably her top choice. I have a gut feeling that this is bad news for those who have it in their document library. Best of luck to everyone though.

i have Appeal of Admission decision too : /

I have the appeal decision tab and all of the enrollment tabs/financial aid tabs you mentioned. And I have no chance whatsoever to get in. So no, I don’t think it means anything.

By the way, anyone know when they will mail out decisions?

@mochiman24 I also have that on the financial aid documents, but on my admissions documents I have appeal of admissions decision

I have a few more lists in mine though, such as:

CSS profile corrections
Graduate plus loan request form
Outside agency scholarship notification
Satisfactory academic progress appeal form
Summer loan request

And these are in addition to the ones you listed. However, I this is the first time I looked at the “document library” so I have no idea if this was always there or if it just appeared.

^^ Just saw that, too, hidalgo. Document library for Admission and FA are different. I don’t think any early clues.

I have the same thing with appeal of admission decision in my “admissions” document library and the long list under my financial aid document library

S was admitted in Jan. he has appeal admission in his docs library. That is the only thing that says “appeal”. Don’t think this means anything.

I have “Appeal of Admission Decision” too. Argh already a negative sign :|

Edit: ^^^ ah okay.

I searched old threads and if you see “appeal admission decision” that means you were denied. =( You can appeal your denail and have a very slight chance of still getting in.

Which one should we believe then??? Does appeal of admission decisions really mean a denial?

@sqiggles : thank you for giving us this info! almost had a heart attack.

Someomne who was admitted in January has “appeal admission decision” under Admissions tab, doc library. (see post 15) The confusion is that there is a document libray under Admissions as well as FA and they are different. Both have been mentioned on this thread.
