Ummm, guapocarlos, I have to disagree. Wisconsin is not one of the largest universities in terms of population. For example, Michigan State has 44,836 students enrolled. Madison has about 29,000, considerably less than State. Wisconsin's size is much more comparable to that of the University of Michigan, which has about 25,000 students enrolled. What I mean to say is, you can't say that Wisconsin should have x numbers because "it's one of the largest universities in the nation." Because it's not.

The University of Wisconsin is one of the 10 largest in the United States with about 40,000 total enrollment...what you may have forgotten is the graduate school, and i believe that figure you used for michigan state includes their graduate school as well.

How does the Madison biology program compare to the University of Minnesota College of Biological Sciences? Are they pretty much the same, or is one better than the other?
