Question about visiting as an accepted student

Hey guys!

So, I’ve recently been admitted to BC and am FINALLY planning a last-minute visit (partly because I didn’t want to visit months ago just to get my hopes up LOL).

Anyways, as it is a ways away, I’ll obviously be visiting Boston with my parents. Now, I’ve come across what appears to be two options: Eagle Eye Session and Campus Tour OR the Day Visit Program.

I will be taking part in the Day Visit program because it appears to be just the thing I need in order to make a decision. BC’s website makes it sound like they make an effort to correspond the Day Visit program with the Eagle Eye Sessions and Campus tour so my parents will have something to do…

Basically, my question is this: If I do the Visit Program, would I need to also do the Eagle Eye session/Campus tour to get a good idea of whether or not I want to attend BC…or is the Visit Program more than enough?

The only reason I’m asking is because due to the fact that the times for these two events overlap, having to do both would transform our visit from a one day thing to a two day affair…

Thanks in advance :)

Ooh, BTW, I am fully aware of BC’s admitted eagle days…but I will not be able to attend either of those…

Since you’re already admitted, there’s no reason at all for you to do the Eagle Eye session since it’s more oriented towards prospective students and their parents; for example, quite a bit of time is spent on application procedures and requirements.

If you haven’t visited BC before, then the campus tour might be useful – but again, it’s not necessary. The tour only covers a small part of the campus and there is a printed brochure for a self-guided tour (you can pick it up in the Admissions Office) and that covers the same highlights as the formal tour. You might also be able to get your student host to give you an informal tour if he/she has time. (That might depend on their class load on the day of your visit.) But you can see a lot of the campus by yourself, so if time is an issue for you, the day visit is definitely the more valuable use of your time and you won’t miss much if you don’t take the formal tour.

I would do the day visit for sure, it definitely gives you a better sense of the school than going on a tour and doing an eagle eye session. Your parents will be able to tell you any useful info they get out of that, and you can always ask the student you visit to show you around the parts of campus, if any, that you don’t see during your visit.

Day Visit for sure.
