Can i just go there with my family and check out the campus without having a guided tour or anything? do i need to check in or something? is it open tomorrow for visitors?

The tours are pretty informative, I suggest you just sign up.

when we're actaully in school yes you can come and explore...but guided tours are really great.

so that means I can't go check out the campus during the on going winter break. right?

you can probably visit but i dont think ull be able to get a tour guide when the campus is closed

Yeah you can come during winter break... no one's there though so you can't get a feel for what the campus is like during a typical day. There is no bustling Bruin Walk! You can't poke your head into the lecture halls and sit-in if you wanted. Come when school's in session!

right right..

Have people from your high school matriculated to UCLA? If so, maybe you could shadow them. A individual I was not really close with in high school has offered to let me do that...See if that works for you.

There aren't any gates around the campus or anything like that, so you can go ahead and just see the campus, but like the people above said, it won't be of much help to come here when there's nobody on campus. The tours are pretty helpful.

will i be caught by security = = hahah...for trespassing..

Naw, anyone can come in and roam the campus, well not ANYONE but you know what I mean.

ok im gonna check out the campus tomorrow.. yay!

It's going to be empty, and you won't like the feel of it. Trust me on this. It's a completely different feeling when there's people

yeah i agree with MrSpam...the campus is gonna look very bleak and boring...come when school is in session

when does school start again..? mid january?

January 7th
