Question about "W" on transcript

I have three "W's" on my transcript and was wondering how bad this would hurt me in the future. I am currently taking my basics and pre-major requirements for Biology at a community college. This is my second semester and I dropped all three of them at the beginning of the semester as well because I didn't want the college to think i was trying to simply avert a bad grade. My grades were great in the classes but i can tell when a slope will gradually start to steepen: I was noticing subtle decreases in my performance which would soon belie any good grades I was maintaining. I was just a week and a half over being able to drop it with no grade as well, which really sucks. I work a full-time factory job (ie, very physical) of a night, and I had a full-time class schedule as well - it takes a toll, and i overestimated my stamina sadly and perhaps my self-discipline in truth.

My question is, would this be a sufficient explanation for the "W's"? i don't plan on this happening again either and it really bothers me besides, especially being so close to being able to drop without a grade.

Underestimating the challenges of trying to carry a full academic load while working full-time at night is an excellent explanation for why you dropped all of those classes. Just go slow for the rest of your program, and you will be able to eventually re-take (and finish) all of these classes.

As you are working full-time, your ‘W’ can be explained and justified to some extent. You should read this thread, it somewhat addresses your concerns.
