Question about waiving rights to view application

Hi, I’m new to this forum but I have been, for a long time, reading a lot of the threats. I found them very helpful for clearing up many of my questions about colleges and stuff.

This has probably been asked before but I honestly don’t have the time to view the thousands of previous posts.

Anyways my question is whether the signature for waiving the rights to view college application harmful or neutral? I would expect it to not matter but the tone implied is that I SHOULD sign it. My feelings are that I should but I already gave the teacher recommendations and midyear school reports to the teachers and counselors. If it is harmful, should I go back to them and tell them I forgot to sign something?

<p>I think you should sign it, because letters of rec. without the signature are not worth fery much.</p>

<p>You should definitely sign it so that the college views your recs more seriously, but if you already handed them in, it might be too late. (What if your teachers already filled out the form, how can you sign it then?)
I don't think it'll really hurt you though if you don't sign it.</p>

<p>They've only received the stuff last Friday so hopefully they've procrastinated a lot. And the nearest deadline is Dec 15. Or I don't know...</p>
