Hey y’all! So I just finished writing my supplement today and even though it said to have two well-developed paragraphs, I have three. The first paragraph is just a simple introduction that I think ties my entire essay together. Do you think this is ok?
Not to be rude, but they really only gave us that one specification for the essay. If you can’t follow it, it might influence your application badly. I’d day condense the first paragraph and integrate it with your second, maybe…?
@stellacastor Hmm, I am trying to condense my introduction paragraph but it does make more sense to split it up just for ease of reading. I’ll see what I can do.
I applied ED and had the same problem. I just ended up condensing it into 2 paragraphs even though it didn’t flow as well because I thought it was important that I followed the instructions.
I was admitted ED too and did the same as pchs17. I ended up melding my intro into the rest of my essay even though it flowed better on its own. I wouldn’t stress about this too much- try to make it fit in as best as you can but this is a pretty minor thing and it won’t make or break your application.
And from what I’m hearing (and reading in other threads like this one), a lot of applicants have the same problem, so I’m sure the admissions reps are used to it Good luck!
Ok thanks! I completely got rid of the intro and just had one starting sentence so it /isn’t/ really another paragraph.
