Question about what GPA colleges look at.

Hey CCers...

I was wondering what GPA colleges see. Do they look at the final GPAs for each of your classes? or do they just see the GPA for the entire junior year (averaged into one number)?
Also, can they see decimals, or just whole % grades?

haha, sorry if this sounds somewhat trivial, but I'm wondering. I do good in math and physics, but not so well in history, lit, etc. I want to major in engineering, so I'd be kind of dissapointed if the colleges just saw my entire junior year average (taken down by my "not so good" subjects)
Also, my overall junior year grade is 95.4. will they see that .4, or just round it down. .1 more, and it would round up!

Thanks, any help appreciated!

Generally, the official high school transcript is what ad coms scrutinize, and it includes all of the courses you have taken from freshman through senior year, with a separate grade for each course, credits accrued and a cumulative GPA, unweighted, and weighted with Honors, AP, etc., if applicable. Usually the GPA is the most important factor, also considering the challenge of the courseload in comparison to what the high school profile demonstrates in terms of offerings.
