Okay, so I've taken the SAT I once before and I feel I can do better. I have studied, but I know I can study more. My question is should I take the SAT I in May or June? I also have to take AP exams in may (2). I don't want to not take it at all this year because I want to be able to retake it next year if I don't score satisfactory.

If your not taking SAT II's i'd take in June

I may take 1-2, but none of the colleges around here look specifically for SAT IIs, so I may not.

Go for SAT IIs during May since you'll be fresh from studying the material for AP tests (I'm assuming you'd probably be taking about the same subjects for AP and SAT IIs) and take SAT I during June. You can always do it in September if you would want to wait that long. That route does give you the whole summer to prepare, but I don't know if you would want to do that.

thats what im doing. sat 2 in may, sat 1 in june, and sat 1 again in october

btw is is there a september sat?

No test days in September.

There are October, November, and December SATs though.

I would say take the SAT I in June. Once your APs are done, you'll have more time to prep/practice.

If you're taking SATIIs in the same subjects as your APs, I would do it in May. If the SATIIs aren't related, you could wait until the fall.
