hey, i am a junior in high school, and i was thinking about taking quite a few SAT II's this year, at the end of the year though, of course. i am in AP English (i think the language one?), AP U.S. History, AP Chemistry, and AP statistics. i am also taking Pre-Calculus accerlerated math in school. what options do i have for these exams, because i know that you can only take a maximum of 3 subject tests on an exam day

i was thinkin about taking the English, US History, and Chemistry SAT IIs all on 1 day after the APs were over, but what about the other 2 SAT II exams? when should i take those? the other SAT exam day i was going to take the SAT I exam, so i won't be able 2 take the SAT II exams on those days. i have heard of people taking the SAT II exams in September of their Senior year, but i would have thought that it is so far away from the course and a few months earlier. what should i do?

If you read his second paragraph, he states that he is concerned becuase he won't be able to take the other 2 subject tests in additon to the three he is already taking.

Below are the ONLY tests available for SATII:

I'd recommend you take the SATIIs as you planned just when you're studying for & taking the APs. It would make sense for you to take the Chemistry & US History. You should ask your math teacher whether you should take the SATII exam with those or wait until June when you've covered everything in your pre-calc class. You can ask your English teacher whether s/he'd recommend you taking the English Lit SATII (my S didn't, so don't really know anything about it).

Another logical time to take the SATII for Math2 is early in the fall senior year when you're reviewing pre-calc in the beginning of calc class.

Most Us only require 2 or 3 SATII exams, so not really sure why you'd take a whole lot more than that--of course can re-take if disssatisfied with scores.

[That said, my S did take 5 SATIIs--Bio (9th grade), Physics, MathI, US History & MathII. He took Math1 because he hadn't spoken to the counselor to learn that he really needed mathII (wants engineering), so he ended up taking MathII fall of senior year.]

As I explained in the above post, it is pre-calc in SATII, Math2. You will be fine taking it either at the end of your precalc class or when you're reviewing calc in fall of senior year. Ask your precalc teacher whether you'll cover enough to take it in May when you're taking your other SATIIs.
