Question about W's and graduate school

My S who is an undergrad, was told by a couple of people that if he has 2 W's on his transcript he would not longer be able to go to graduate school. Does anyone know if this is true? Thanks.

Obviously false!

Completely false.

W meaning withdraw? Withdrawing two courses?
...I would no longer be able to continue with my bachelor's degree if that was true.

false! I have two Ws on my transcript (though one of them was the registrar's fault) and I'm doing just fine with grad school admissions (when I asked for feedback from places that I didn't get in- none of the profs mentioned my GPA!)

lol... I don't think the grad schools would really care about me dropping kendo and music..

Yes, by W I meant withdrawal from courses. Thanks for your responses....I'm sure my S will be relieved!

@ LilyMoon

False. Most graduate schools won't penalize you if you have Ws. Just don't make it a habit and have lots of Ws (3+) randomly, especially in major courses, on your transcript.

my transcript doesnt even show the one dropped class i had freshman year... just that i only took three classes
