Hi there. I’ve noticed that most American colleges admit their students in the fall period of the year, that is aug-sep. Are there any good public colleges that you guys may recommend that admits their students in January instead? Thanks in advance !!

Most will admit you in January, unless the class is full. Aplying early gives you a big advantage with rolling admissions, but you don't have to do it.

Oh, i thought january intakes only junior transfers? How bout for international students? Are the january dates available?

What level of college are you looking for? Many top schools only admit in Sept. Least selective schools are the most flexible. Are you looking at lower cost public schools? What do you want to study?

I'm intending to take undergraduates studies for Banking and Finance. As my country has made it compulsory for all male citizens to serve in the army, I am relieved of this duty only in november 2006, hence it wouldn't be possible for me to enrol for the fall 2006 intake. I was wondering if there are any January dates available, so i do not have to waste like 8 months of my life in 2007 waiting for an entry. Does any top public university allow that?

I believe that many of the stae universities will admit in January. You can do it as a deferment, being accepted in the fall but waiting to attend in January. Pick a few schools and email an adcom there. Some of the school have a January admission date, it just isn't as popular.
