<p>Are we allowed to choose our own roommates?</p>
<p>I remember reading about this, you can choose roommates provided that you both apply on the same day and specify you want to be roommates on your application. If you chose your room mate you are almost guaranteed a spot on North campus though</p>
<p>ehhh…is the North Campus “unique” in any way?</p>
<p>Its the freshman dorms, most people who know UM don’t really want to be on North Campus. South and Central are much better.</p>
<p>You can request a roommate. Otherwise, it’s completely random.</p>
<p>If you specify a roommate it is more likely you will end up on north campus. Yet, this year U of M is opening up North Quad which will be an upperclassmen dorm and it is quite large. So many of the upperclassman who would have been previously occupying dorms in West Quad or MoJo could be in North Quad. So this could increase chances of not being on North.</p>
