Question: Cal Poly SLO GPA calculation

When my daughter filled out her app. for Cal Poly SLO, they calculated her h.s. GPA to be 4.27. How do they do arrive at this number? Her transcript shows different numbers (weighted 4.15 and unweighted 3.97). Also, we notice on her transcript there is an ACA GPA of 4.40. Is this used for colleges? None of her weighted numbers are the same (ACA, Reg. Weighted and Cal Poly's) and I wonder which one of two will be used for other schools. Do they all have their own way of calculating GPA? I know UC does.

When they show profiles of Cal Poly students' stats, are the GPAs the ones THEY calculated?

Thanks!

They may not have counted “soft” courses, much like UC in calculating GPA, so the 5.0 courses she’s taken would’ve had more weight.
