Hi, I hear many rumors about UC Davis requiring a 3.0 weighted gpa for high school seniors who plan to attend UCD and have submitted their SIR.

I was wondering if the 3.0W means it is averaged throughout all of senior year, or does it mean I need a 3.0W in my 2nd semester of senior year?
I’m kinda worried about I think my 2nd semester gpa may be slightly less than 3.0W, but my 1st semester gpa is much higher.

So if it’s averaged for whole senior year, i’m in the clear. If it’s just for 2nd seemester, then I may be in trouble :|

anyone know?

I think thats just a rumor. I’m sure they would prefer it to be a 3.0 but in their conditions of admissions it did not specify. and im sure it would be an average

Admitted students need to make sure to meet their conditions of admissions. Please review these conditions of admissions to clarify which requirements you need to meet and they should make it clear which GPA is required, if it specifies a required GPA.

Similar situation for me, though not quite as shaky. I got an UW 3.3 first semester (W 3.8) and will probably be getting either an UW 2.8 or an UW 3.0 this semester (W 3.3 or 3.5). I also noticed that, on the conditions of admissions, it does not mention a 3.0 GPA anywhere. The conditions for academic performance stated are as follows:

“Continue your high level of performance and academic rigor throughout your senior year. You must complete all courses listed on your admission application for the 12th grade with grades of “C” or better, unless otherwise approved by the Undergraduate Admissions office. “Pass” grades are NOT acceptable.”

Does this mean that I shouldn’t be stressing over a couple of C’s?
