So I was recently accepted to UCSC (Santa Cruz) and waitlisted at UC Davis as an out of state home schooler. I took a gap year, have taken the SAT, ACT, GED, as well as some dual enrollment courses (22 credit hours worth to be exact). All of this was mentioned on my application including, most importantly, that I am out of state, home schooled, graduated, and took a gap year. I've already accepted admittance to UCSC and UCD.

Now, here's my dilemma. The UC's don't require official transcripts when you apply, only after you've been accepted. I have official documentation for my college transcript, GED, and ACT and SAT. **However, I am unsure as to what would be considered an official high school transcript. **I was in an umbrella program, but my grades and curriculum were up to my parents (aka teachers).

I called UC admissions to ask them about this question. Unfortunately, this wasn't really much help. There were no options to get past the voice operation system (even though it specified that its hours were from 9-4 which is when I called) so I simply started punching numbers until I got through to someone. I asked him the same question I have in bold. He didn't know the answer and asked a supervisor. The supervisor said that my transcript had to be certified by the state. I asked him what the process for doing that was and he had no clue. The conversation ended there. I must say that he was not very polite, which was a major difference from the other people I had talked to.

I plan to call UC admissions again tomorrow, as well as our umbrella program supervisor to get this all straightened out.

Does anyone have any insight on the UC home school transcript process? I've been hearing different things and I'm afraid that I might get my admission revoked.

Thanks in advance.
