I've graduated with the class of 2012, but I'm taking a gap year.

I haven't gotten letters of rec yet.
Any suggestions on how I should go about this?

You should e-mail your old teachers and request one. Some teachers will interview the student to learn more about them and etc. Teacher love when students ask for recommendation letters.

Thanks!

I was worried because I thought emailing would seem as if I’m slighting them. But I cannot be there in person to ask…so…

I feel better. If it helps, I wrote about 11 or so of my favorite teachers personalized letters reminding them of why I loved their classes and thanking them for their dedication.

The three teachers I really admire I got gifts. I’m also requesting letters of rec from two of the three. I hope I don’t come off as attempting to buy good letters of rec. The gifts were small. ^▁^

^ That’s good~! I gave a gift to my teacher too, in exchange for a recommendation lol.

Yay! I’m not alone. Teehee.
