Question concerning Stanford and MathIIc

I know it is "strongly recommended" that one take this subject test, but how neccessary do you all think it is to do so? I've already gotten a 770 on Math IC, but in general I'm not very good at SAT math (700 on the math section). Also, I am currently taking calculus in school, but I don't think I would be able to get a good score on the math IIC. I'm applying SCEA as well.

It probably will not "make or break" your application. But if you got 770 on IC, with just a little practice you can probably easily get at least as much on IIC - it has a MUCH more generous curve (if I remember correctly, you could miss 6 questions, and still get 800).

Does anyone else have alternative opinions or experiences regarding my orginial question? Or are most people in agreement with the above poster?

take the bloody IIC..."strongly recommended" means if you dont take it we're going to be ****y

you should probably take it, but don't freak out. they also said you get get higher on math2 than on the SAT I math, they look at the higher score. :). my friend who took both math levels 1 and 2 actually got a higher score on level2. good luck!
