I applied RD this year and if, through some miracle, I get in, I was wondering if Brown has specific weekends for accepted students to come visit. Was there an event for ED accepted students? Thanks!

If I recall it’s April 11, 12, 13. I didn’t see anything about being for ED or RD only.

Thank you! Did it say anything about staying with students or at a hotel?

Congratulations on your acceptance to Brown’s Class of 2015! As a student admitted under Early Decision, you are part of a special group of bright, talented, and enthusiastic young people who really are ideal matches for Brown! We know that you are counting down the days until you walk through the Van Wickle Gates, so we would like to invite you to campus for an afternoon to experience what it’s like to be a first-year student here at Brown. On Monday, March 14, you will be able to go on an admitted student tour, sit in on classes, socialize with current Brown students, take part in a panel discussion with Brown Faculty members, and meet many of your classmates in person.
Schedule of Events:
10:00 a.m.: Arrival, Registration, and Introductory Remarks
11:00 a.m.: Faculty Panel
12:00 p.m.: Admitted Student Tour
1:15 p.m.: Lunch
2:00 p.m.: Current Student Panel
3:00 p.m.: Conclusion
*This is not an overnight event, and Brown cannot provide housing accommodations.

Also received information for accepted students to visit 4/4-4/8, 4/18-4/22, and 4/25. Again, day visits, no overnight accommodations which is a bummer if you live half way across the country.

Yeah, they only started doing the ED visits this year. I wouldn’t do it if I lived further than an hour or two away - you really won’t see that much. ADOCH (the event for admitted RD students) will be April 11-12, I believe. You’ll find out more about it if you get in, but we’re getting busy with planning it right now!

Thanks for clarifying, bruno14.

I saw the April 11-13 dates in the likely letter, but it simply said “events for admitted students” without specifying.
