Question for Accepted Class of 2015

Do you have to commit in order to get an email address?

yes!
10 characters

Definitely. You won’t get your email until early June at the earliest - remember that there are roughly 1500 students in your class, so it takes CIT some time to set everything up. Unless there is already someone at Brown with your name (or special circumstances), your email will be first_last@brown.edu.

I committed a few days ago  How long does it normally take them to process these things…? It still says that I can’t activate my account :(

What account are you talking about? E-mail? If so, definitely give that time. June or so for sure.

I actually just went back and checked my Brown email. I got in ED and my email wasn’t activated until 4/28/10. However, I didn’t get my first email from Brown until June. Just be patient. CIS is busy.

already have mine :)

Question: After we commit that’s it right? We don’t have to do anything extra (like give a deposit) to get in?

just got mine!!

@finishmydrink-- You are correct, it’s done; there is no deposit required. Congratulations!

Thanks franglish! :D

Hi guys,

This might be a stupid question but I just wanted to double check. Does Brown not have an enrollment deposit? Thanks!

@Bobo93 - great question, we could not find that information anywhere in the package.

You’re correct, Bobo93: Brown does not have an enrollment deposit. This was confirmed by an admissions officer on the official class of 2015 Facebook group. :)

Oh that’s nice! Thanks suitcases!
