Congrats all!

Did your acceptance letter have a few sentences specific to you and your interests/application?

Did your acceptance letter have a few sentences specific to you and your interests/application?

ED, but mine did not.

ED, my acceptance letter and my followup letter from my admissions counselor were both boilerplate, nothing personalized.

Thanks ShadyLane and mochabaer!

I just got my letter today, so what about any RD applicants?

We used to receive a few sentences that were personalized on the bottom of the standard mailed letters.

This will vary according to your admissions officer and the year. I’ve asked about it.

I received standard stuff on my original one 2 years ago(oh god. getting. old), but then some personalized lines in one from my actual admissions officer (y’all have one) a few weeks later. I think it depends on how on top of it the actual admissions officer is and whether she/he gets it out in time for the original, one later, both, or neither.

Did you get your letter in the mail?

Yeah. I live right outside Boston, so it only takes one day for things to get from Providence to me. I was so confused/surprised when I saw the letter, since I didn’t think they were allowed to mail decisions until today. Anyways, I’m SOOOOOOO HAPPY and can’t express my excitement in words!!!

Wow, lucky! And congrats!!! That’s amazing :]

Congrats to you plumsnow!

Thanks to everyone for the congratulations!

This definitely relieved a lot (if not ALL) of the pressure/anticipation for 5:00 today!!! If I don’t get into a single other Ivy, I’d still be 100000% happy to end up at Brown. And if I do get into other Ivies, I’m currently thinking I’d still end up at Brown no matter what!

Got my letter today, and it had a paragraph about my interests and essays. It made me soooooo happy! Getting that envelope was the highlight of the last four years of my life.

When I read my personalized part to my mom, she had tears in her eyes and said, “Don’t even consider any other school.” (Brown is and has always been my top choice, but I’m still only like 99.999% sure because of the money. ><)

I agree with Mama J 100%. (:

Mine wasn’t personalized :(

I got a personalized one from Yale and Columbia… but not Brown.

… oh wait… I didn’t apply :(
