Has your enthusiasm decreased since the time of application because you are still waiting on decision from usc? Have your or your parents lost interset in usc due to this waiting? As the time goes by, more and more emotional and physical time is being spent on acceptances from other schools. I am just wondering if anxiety of not having a decision is making usc more attractive to you now or less attractive?

USC has been among my top 3 for ages and it still is. However, this enthusiasm sure has turned into anxiousness with each passing day!

are you a USC person tormenting us with a survey-like question when you hold the fate of our futures?! not cool not cool =0

Lovely people from the other schools have been calling my son and asking him if he is still interested plus he has been to a really nice accepted scholars reception from another school. He has to tell the other schools that he is waiting to hear from USC. So in a sense he is holding a space in the other schools that he would give up in a heartbeat to someone else if he got accepted by USC.

The issue is compounded by the fact he dosn't have a close second place choice.

But no, he hasn't lost interest.

As a parent, everything is so stressful. Son got rejected by first choice UCSD. Waiting for USC and UCLA. Did get into UCI and University of Illinois. Being from Illinois that means instate rates there but out of state rates at the UC schools. Want to see what USC comes up with for financial aid. (If he gets in, of course.) Is anyone else extremely anxious about the money and afraid of having to say no to a particular school to the disappointment of your DS or DD?

Oh no, I am a hopeful applicant in waiting. While my interest in usc remains as high as before despite now knowing that I am not their first choice candidate by usc (if at all), that is not the case for my parents. That is their interest has been declining. Maybe it has to do with declining Dow Jones. But usc not giving its decision does not help. With each passing day, we spend more time talking about the multiple birds already in hand, than the usc one which may remain in the bush.

the thing that most annoys me is that if i do not get in, im wasting precious time to get first choice housing to the schools i've already been accepted to

Despite having yet to hear from them, I'm still in love with USC as much as I ever was. The only thing that has really changed is the anxiety; now I'm glued to the USC website haha

^ Hah, I know what you mean. I keep refreshing my USC status page and get more anxious by the day when nothing shows up.

By the way OP, mangos and lassis are awesome! Mango lassi is decent as well.

I think the <3 has actually been increasing, but also anxiety has been increasing. No anti USC or feelings of despair, though.

I agree with delass, I've become more and more nervous each day, but since a wave hasn't come out all week, I'm still hopeful.
And with each day I'm more and more ready to attend USC should I be fortunate enough to get in!
