Question for Cornell Students

What is the deal with the rumor that Cornell is known for grade deflation. I am a prospective transfer to their Government Department, and most of the teachers seem pretty laid back.

i just relized it said grade deflation great i'll work my butt off then have my grade reduced wow i picked the best ivy alright. iremember a couple of years ago princeton or harvard were geeting critized for inflating thier grades, they have like a quota system were they are allowed ot give out only theses many a,b,c's and only can fail a few i guess thats not what happens at cornell

Everyone makes such a big deal out of the grading at Cornell. Look at the median grade reports, the medians in most of the classes are A-/B+. Science classes are tough but most of the other ones are very manageable.
