So my all scores were sent to WUSTL and I saw it recorded on my unofficial transcript. It doesn't said anything about what courses were/are granted credits for what exams, just listing of the AP courses and its scores. Do I have to do anything to get credits for the classes if my scores and exams are in line with what the AP policy is? Thanks!

I don’t remember doing anything to get the credit. On the unofficial transcript, there will be a section named “Other Credits”. Thats where the classes you passed out of will appear, with the school listed as “advanced placement”.

Below is a PDF which gives all the information about placing out of courses with AP credit. You shouldn’t have to do anything in order to receive credit, but you should check the list and make sure you understand what (if anything) you’ve placed out of.

^just clarifying, that’s the AP credit policy for the ArtSci school, and not the others.

Some classes, such as calculus, give “back credit” for AP scores of 4; you can skip the class, but you won’t receive credit for it until you take (and pass) a more advanced class in the same subject.

Also another thing- it may take them a few months to properly upload classes to your unofficial transcript.

In other words, don’t worry about it. I wouldn’t even bother asking the registrar until the end of the fall semester (it took until november for one of my classes to get added, because it was an elective).

The “unofficial transcripts” should reflect credits now for incoming freshman. However, my S received an e-mail today saying that there was a problem with Math AP scores but they should be uploaded by Wednesday. An e-mail stating the following was sent (at least to ArtSci students) on Saturday.

Dear Student,

All Advanced Placement (AP) and International Baccaluareate (IB) credit the University has received to-date has been applied to students’ records. You can check your pre-matriculation credit on your unofficial transcript under “Other Credits” on WebSTAC: From the WebSTAC main menu, click on “Academic Records” and then “Unofficial Transcript”; scroll down the transcript to “Other Credits”. Please note that the maximum number of accepted pre-matriculation credit differs among Washington U undergraduate schools.
