During orientation, did you get to have a one on one with your adviser when you were getting your schedule? When sent in that form telling them what classes i wanted to take, i changed my desired major, and now i want to enroll in the engineering program. Do you think that would still be possible?

Maybe, you should contact the Office of Enrollment in Thebaud Hall immediately though. I did the same thing (switch from Econ to Bio on the first day of orientation), and it was absolute hell. Try and get it figured out NOW, it will save you a lot of trouble. As for the advisor, you'll have a group advisory meeting scheduled for orientation week. You don't have an individual meeting though until sometime in October. But, you advisor should certainly be able to talk to you in private should you have any issues.

Why do they keep students in the dark about what classes they will be in as Freshmen....? I mean its almost cruel. My D filled out a vague form about the core and that is the last we have heard....we have NO clue what they will do with all of that.

and then there is the language thing...do we continue with French (completed 5 years and AP French) or do we begin a new language to dovetail the area studies major?

Seems like they need a lot more than a group meeting with a bunch of other confused kids.

Thanks for the heads up.
Fordham217, do you think an email to the academics records office will suffice. Our brochure seems to indicate that they deal with class registrations.
