<p>Would any of you mind telling me what your high school course load was like? As in rigor and what classes you took.
It would also be helpful to know how rigorous your schedule was in comparison to other kids in your class.

<p>My schedule was 5 AP’s (Comp gov, Amer Gov, Calc BC, Eng Lit, Physics) and 1 unweighted class which i audited first semester.
I’d say it was top tier of demanding course loads.</p>

I took basically all advanced courses throughout hs. 9 ap’s total, most of the rest were honors.</p>
<p>lol, you could always self study, to impress! let’s see, i think i took 11 APs total, never self studied, but the people who did took like 14+ did.</p>
<p>i guess i’m qualified to have a “most rigorous” courseload, but i took some of the easier aps so i definitly wouldn’t say it myself. but i would place my overall high school schedule in the top 10% in my class in terms of demanding. </p>
<p>honestly, once your schedule is classified at “most rigorous” it really doesn’t matter what you take or don’t take. college admissions officers want to see that you have challenged yourself and are somewhat prepared to enter classes at UCLA.</p>
<p>i took 10 APs total, took performing arts classes and my required graduation classes. i was in student leadership for four years, theatre for 6, christian club, president of my schools Thespian troupe, and i was salutatorian. community service, blah blah averag-ie on sats and acts.</p>

<p>i took 6 community college classes(like french and history) 6 ap courses(macro, micro, spanish, eng. lang & lit, psychology), average-ish sat’s, president of human rights club senior year, in csf, peer councelor, most of the other classes were honors but they were like the usual 9th english and stuff like that. took a lot of art classes. dont stress TOOOOO much. ucla wants variety. not the same robot students. just have well written essays (don’t bore them)and show them why they should choose you over all the other applicants.</p>

<p>7 APs (physics b, calc BC, world history, chemistry, biology, english comp, statistics) 2 honors (chem, pre-cal). 3 community college classes (chem, US history, english). national merit finalist. 2090 sat I. 800/740 sat II. ec: asian liver center (3years) assistant phlebotomist, worked at a center for children with special disabilities, el camino youth symphony 3 years(violin), math club(advanced to AIME in the AMC competition). interned as a dental assistant.</p>
<p>as for grades… 3.7x unweighted 3.96 weighted. AND IM CHINESE. (being chinese is a huge disadvantage cuz there’s hella chinese people and they all have like 4.9’s or something) i’m one of the 479 people who got in with a <4.0 weighted gpa =D. i think like 10,000 people with a >4.0 weighted gpa got in. so i’m part of the group that makes up 0.5% of the campus.</p>

<p>My D had 4.22 weighted GPA. 7 AP classes (World History, US History, English Language, English Literature, Econ, Gov’t, Psych.) AP Scholar with honors when applied. Two National Youth Theatre Awards. Theatre program. Lots of plays. Internship at theatre. SAT acceptable… had to audition for major. Sr. year had three AP classes and an internship.</p>
