Do we still need to submit the Midyear form? I'm not sure since it's part of the application, but they still want to know how we're doing, I assume. Or do we only submit our final transcript like it says on the green paper they sent?

Someone asked on the facebook group the same question, and someone else said they called Georgetown and asked. The answer was that EA admits didn't have to. Me? I don't think I'm going to send it in.

i emailed them and was told to submit it

yeah, I've been told that you need to submit that and the final year report...anyone have a definitive answer?

I think I'll just send it to be safe...can't hurt, right?

I can see why they would want our transcripts but the midyear form has other things on it that they don't really care about anymore since we're already admitted. I don't really want to send it. My grades are good, but its just more money from me and more work for my incompetent counselor.

my school handles everything for us so i havent even really thought about it. i think you should probably send the midyear report though

I just emailed.... I quote

Thank you for contacting Georgetown University. Yes, we want Mid-Year Reports from all applicants.

Sincerely,

The Office of Undergraduate Admissions

Whoa...whoa...they emailed you?! This is elusive! I'm impressed! haha...:D

i emailed them first. then they emailed me back. :)

"Thank you for contacting Georgetown University. Yes, we want Mid-Year Reports from all applicants."

So does it apply to us or not? Since we've already been accepted, we're technically not applicants anymore.

However, I'm going to send it just in case since on Georgetown's website, beside the pdf form, there is the following in brackets:

(Deadline to submit: Feb. 10, 2008 for Early Action and Regular Decision)

I don't think they'd put a deadline there for EA students if they didn't have to submit it.

URL: Georgetown University- Office of Undergraduate Admissions

i called and asked her like 3x to make sure, that if you were ACCEPTED ea, then you dont need to send in midyear, just final if you decide to come. if you were DEFERRED then you need to send it in.

i talked to the counselor in the college resource room at my school.. and she said that a final report is all that is needed. they don't want anymore paperwork to handle anyways.. hope it helps =)

im sending it in anyways, just to be sure.

I was told by my counselor that they're required to send the mid-term grades. They don't actually fill out any forms, they just fax transcripts of everyone who applied/was accepted.
