Question for Engineering Transfers

I am planning on transfering into an engineering school this year and ND is my top choice. My GPA is nowhere near the 3.7 average (a 3.3 after freshman year). Is it easier to tranfer into the engineering school? If you got in, what was your gpa and what college did you transfer from?

I would not go as far as to say that transfering into the College of Engineering is easier, but it is less common so you may be increasing your chances with less competition. That said, because you started out with a 3.3, you ought to be no less than 3.95 for at least another semester though going two semesters and transfering as a Junior would probably be your best bet.

Of the kids that I know that have transfered into the College of Engineering, four of them are from Holy Cross College across the street with 3.95s and another one is a 3.75 from Northwestern.

Hopes this gives you a bit of perspective.
