Question for guys

The protein shakes aren't much different than eating a ton of steak.

-workout at least 3x a week?
yep
-count calories?
i try to consume MORE food, but cut down on obviously unhealthy foods (greasy foods etc)
-take protein powder?
I use to use the EAS Protien powder from costco. It was REALLY good, and tasted EXCELLENT with a banana. I gained probably 7lbs of muscle using it over the course of 3 months or so (keep in mind that 7lbs was after burning fat and whatnot off)
-take creatine?
not yet, but creatine is supposed to be a super suppliment
-take pro-hormones?
nope
-take steroids?
i like my man parts, so no.

Yes
No
Yes
No
No
No

Are there any potential health drawbacks to taking creatine as an 18 year old?

Results are inconclusive about it, plus creatine doesn't always work for everyone.. I didn't really notice much so I stopped using it and just continued with whey and a good diet.

i watch my calories but that's about it.
i'm a vegetarian though, so it's not difficult.

Yes to first 3. I follow a meal plan though so I don't really count my calories since I already know the approximate amount I have each day anyway.

I'm going to add creatine some time in the near future.

Only side effects of creatine are muscle cramps; if you drink a lot of water (at least a gallon a day), you probably wont get them.

Yeah, I heard people have more problems with their knees when using creatine. My friend used it for a while and when he stopped using it he had withdrawl symptoms. who knows lol

-workout at least 3x a week? no
-count calories? no
-take protein powder? no
-take creatine? no
-take pro-hormones? no
-take steroids? no
lol...

yes
and no the rest

you don't need to count calories
just do 25 mins of cardio 3 or 4 times a week

don't take any steroids or growth hormone unless you got medical problems(doctors actually recommends it)

One questionable snack can easily erase 30 minutes of cardio.

this is terrible terrible advice

if you care about your body ignore this terrible advice

ahhaha, although 25 mins of cardio on top of a good diet and weightlifting is good.. but then it kind of defeats the reason why the advice was so bad :D

25 minutes of cardio does absolutely nothing for your body unless you're doing HIIT

you need to go 45-60 minutes before you start getting any of the benefits from steady state (jogging or going at the same rate)

A 25 minute jog is around 3 miles, if you were to do a 3 mile run every day I'd say that is definitely good.

I don't do anything to physically aid my self purposefully.

I play soccer and basketball, skateboard and jog for recreation but it has nothing to do with health/body image.

depends i mixed up my jogs but if i tell them to do what i do (5-7 miles), they wouldn't even consider it because to them it seems unreasonable

but 25 mins is ample time to get a good workout. It is enough to do a quick stretch and run a decent 5k
or you can sprints on the track
if you are trying to bulk up, do sprints around the track or whereever

Eh.

Yes x4
No x2
=,=

you will have a nice gangly body with no muscle and look [url="<a href="http://www.truestarhealth.com/members/cm_archives14ML3P1A11.html%22%5Dgross.%5B/url">http://www.truestarhealth.com/members/cm_archives14ML3P1A11.html"]gross.[/url</a>]</p>

don't get me wrong, running a few miles is great exercise and you should do it often. but it's definitely not "all you need" :)
