<p>OK, so I'm currently a junior in HL Math and I hate it! I'm going to the diploma, but I already have three other HLs so I'm good.</p>
<p>If I were to go from HL I to SL II for Math...would this hinder me? Does SL learn different topics? I really don't want to continue with HL, but I really don't want to take Math Studies because I want basic Calculus at least...</p>
<p>I debated this exactly and I stayed with math HL. Regret.
Math HL Year 2 is sooooo much harder than year 1, and I can’t switch out of it now. It might just be because of the teacher though, but i’d advice you to think carefully. Whatever you do, DO NOT TAKE MATH STUDIES. </p>
<p>SL is the same topics as HL but less in-depth and with different options.</p>
<p>Personally, I would drop. HL Math is intense!</p>

<p>drop HL! i do SL… I did GCSE’s (british system) in grades 9/10 and thought it was easy/fine and im getting a 6/7 now
just not studies</p>
