Hi, my cousin who is a senior in high school this year and lives in Indiana is thinking of applying at Purdue to study some type of technology. He can apply for quite a few grants and scholarships to help with the tuition cost, which is a main reason he's considering Purdue. Is purdue good for technology? Are there better universities in Indiana he should consider? how valuable is a PU degree? thanks

Oh, Yes!!!

Purdue is the top engineering school in IN !!!
Purdue engineering program is top-10 in** undergrad and graduate ** program ranking;.only MIT, Berkeley, Stanford and couple others are ahead of Purdue.

Purdue engineers are well respected in industry....

Rose Hulman is actually the top undergard engineering program in IN. Not that Purdue is bad. Rose costs more but has a major national reputation.

I guess I should have been more clear; he's not studying engineering, just technology. His math skills aren't spectacular, but he does have an interest in either computer technology or industrial technology. Is the purdue glamour attributed to those BS degrees as well?

I'd think you would worry less about glamour and more about employment history of graduates. Purdue is known for applied skills which would suit your cousins skill level fine I'd think.

cool, so graduates are almost guaranteed a nice paying job after they graduate provided they take advantage of the university job fairs and whatnot. Thanks!
