Question for NYU-students....

how does it feel to live in NYC? I live in NJ and I visit the city once in a while and I think it would be ****ing fun as hell.... do you guys ever feel tired of it after couple of years? what do you guys feel about having no campus?

oh and also for some weird reason I like schools that have nice libraries... lol how is NYU's?

It depends on what you like. I enjoy being in New York, but I have to say that I am always happy to get out when I'm able. If you like living in the city, you'll love being at NYU. As for the lack of a campus, again, I think it's personal preference. For the most part, it never really dawned on me that NYU has no campus, but after recently visiting a more traditional campus-oriented school, I must say that I was envious of that green, sprawling, quiet atmosphere. They're two completely different settings, and both are amazing.

NYU does have a huge library - Bobst, which is (I think) 10 floors. It's a huge red building on Washington Square Park - very impressive. Inside, they've refurbished parts of it to make it nice, but it is still, though, quite shoddy. I've been hoping they'll fix it up to be the library it should be for a school of NYU's size and stature.
