Question for parents who have upperclassmen

Planning for move out day(s), and wondering if it will work similar to move-in day. I did see a thread stating that the carts would be available. But, I am wondering about the bracelets for parents to wear. Can we get those again, or do we have to keep signing in and out during the move? I am planning to move my daughter's stuff out while she takes her last final exam, and obviously she would not be there to sign me in/out. Hoping this will not be an issue...

I don’t remember if we got bands for the move out :frowning: We made one trip in and out of the dorm. Did your daughter sign up to volunteer for arrival survival? You get to move in early – no parking issues and no elevator issues :)

I know parents have done what you are going to do; dd did a summer course and parents were doing the moving to simplify the process. Some dorms will be easier than others. They definitely have carts and I do think you will get a bracelet. I would make my daughter find out the details for me. ;)

Hi,

From what I remember when I lived in the dorms, they do give out bracelets for parents during move-out. Or something of that nature. I lived in Lothrop two years ago and when my parents moved me out, I didn’t have to keep signing them in and out. However, I don’t believe they’ll let you move your daughter out without her being there. So, you may have to wait until she is done with her exam.

Thanks for the help. My daughter is going to check with Panther Central to see if we can continue to move her stuff after she leaves for her exam.
