Did any of you take an SAT II in November? If so, did you have any problems?

I'd avoid it if possible but I think people did do it. Check the site, especially since the new SAT has things a little wacked.

I did not. I will say that it's ideally avoided, but if necessary, I don't see any reason why not to. Contrary to popular belief, you won't be penalized for test results showing up "late"

The exact wording from the site is:

"Plan to take the SAT I before November of your senior year, or the ACT no later than October, if you will be applying early. Early-decision applicants are also strongly urged to take the SAT II Subject Tests no later than November, because the scores are used in the colleges' early decision selection process."

I assume that November is okay for SAT IIs because it doesn not say "before November" as it does for the SAT I. I'm wondering though if anyone who did it previously can say whether they had any problems.

Unfortunately for me, it is unavoidable.

why? do you have the take ones in oct and twos in nov or something?

Yea, I have to re-take the I in October and re-take a math II in November.

ok, well, you have the scores to send them, they wont object to your new scores...they'll definitely consider them if they're there by the time they review your app. dont worry you're fine. i know for a fact lots of people had things screw up in terms of sending and cornell was accomidating.

cant you specify that you will be tkaing it again and give a date so theyll hold off on any major decisions before scores come in

ye im candian, so i didnt understand the whole sat process, and end up having to rush everything and do sat II s october, and sat 1 in nov

don't worry i took an satII in nov, and rushed the scores. just make sure you write down you're taking it on your app or notify cornell about it.
