Question for premeds!

So how are your science classes so far?

Are they extremely hard that it makes it very stressful?
Or do you feel challenged but not entirely overworked?

I hear different things about the science classes, that they are very hard and try to "weed" people out, but then again I hear they are still very good. But then again I guess everyone handles work differently.

Thanks!

Hmm 49 views and nothing?

I don’t have any experience(I’m a rising freshman) but from what i hear in intro chem, people don’t study as much as they need to for the first exam. Hence, they bomb it. And then if you don’t drop you are forced to play catch up.

I also hear org. chem is nasty at WashU and if you can, take it elsewhere and/or over the summer. Too much work to focus on with other classes and the course at WashU is unnecessarily difficult.

Also, I hear a lot of the science classes are based more on free response rather than MC. And a lot of them are based on a curve yet…knowing the quality of students it probably doesn’t help much.

As for weeding out, I guess I’d like to be weeded out in undergrad quickly rather than in med school.

End of Random Rambling…

You’re not rambling. Thanks for the response!
