Question for the engineering majors.

Are engineering majors at all UCs impacted and how severely impacted are they? If you can't graduate in 2 years do they kick you out of the school at the end of the 2nd year? I think I've read somewhere that states if you're accepted into engineering as a transfer you will not be able to change your major and if you can't for whatever reason graduate in 2 years then you get kicked out.

P.S. this is not about being lazy and want to take a long time to graduate. It's about most CCs not offering intro engineering courses therefore having to make them up after the transfer making the curriculum tougher than for non-transfers, and I also want to take a few more life science classes than what is required. Factor everything in and it makes it very hard to graduate in 2 years.

It is not that hard if you finish all your pre-requisites via assist.org. If you finish the chemistry math physics and english requirements (which make up the majority of the lower div courses) then you will come in a good position to finish.

For cal, I have to take roughly 16 units a semester to finish in 2 years. They give you two years, and then you can petition for an extra semester should you need one. Also, you have summer session to take courses.

Even though the CC may not have engineering courses, you may not be obligated to take those courses depending on which engineering major you are.
