question for those applying to USC

for the scolarship deadline on Dec 10… it says we need to turn in some Competitive Scholarship Application… where can i get that???

Where did you see "Competitive Scholarship...."

http://www.usc.edu/schools/college/admission/scholarships.html

Really? I too need to know about this..

bump bumpbumpbumpbumpbumpbump

If we don't do that, does that mean we can't get ANY form of merit $$? Those awards are given to such few people. I don't know if I'm going to even try for it with my stats. Also, how is USC known in terms of financial aid?

I do see the reference to the Competitive...part, but can't find ANY reference to any other needed paperwork as I look thru the application. I also remember hearing at some point that no other paperwork was needed for scholarship consideration. Could the reference just be a long fancy name for "app"?? Good question. Please let me know if you hear anything.

I have USC's paper application, and for all of those scholarships, all it says is this : "Freshmen must submit a completed 2005-2006 Undergraduate Application with required materials by Dec. 10, 2004. Interview required for final candidates".

I think they just look at your app and decide whether you fit their criteria, then they start narrowing things down from there. You could call their admissions office to make sure though, they're pretty helpful.

So, if you don't submit your application by December 10th, then you don't get any scholarships?

Most scholarships have Dec 10 as the deadline. Sometimes there are later ones but they are less.

USC Asks for (Optional SAT II's)

I have decent 700 above math and chemistry scores

but i have low less than 650 Writing scores.. is it look weird to put down math and chemsitry but not writing, or should i put them all or none???

Where do you find the competitive application? I've looked everywhere

"Interview required for final candidates."

I thought the interview was optional....

Aren't interviews only for those being considered for a scholarship?

Yeah, i think they will inform you

emailed USC person

replied: There is no longer a separate competitive scholarship application. You
need only submit all of your application materials by December 10, and
you will automatically be considered for these schoalrships.
