I’m just curious to know your opinions of the dorms at BU and how the food is at and around the campus. I know this is kind of random, but I was just wondering.

BU has a really diverse range of dorms. There are several large-style dorms and also brownstones which people can live in. For my freshman year I was placed in Towers, different from Warren, and it was perfectly fine. The whole building was recently renovated so everything is really nice. The rooms are a decent size. Everything is a little bland but you can always decorate however you want. The best place to live on campus is student village. These are luxury high-rise suites. They are really difficult to get and cost a few thousand more than the traditional dorm but they are supposed to be well worth it. The food at BU is actually really good. There are several dining halls and you also have dining points which you can use at places like subway or starbucks on campus. If you want to actual look at dorms I suggest you take a look at the BU housing website. You can take a virtual tour of almost all the dorms.

if you are a freshman i highly recommend that you live in west campus or warren towers, no need to try to live in brownstones. you get that chance for the next 3 years. freshman housing is all about making connections with people that you will be best friends with and what better place then the place you live at and what better people than the ones that you see everyday. as for the food west is known for having the best food on campus ( tho that does not mean much) but there is also gsu where you have plenty of places you can pick from.

Wow thank you for the great responses. I greatly appreciate it!

if you decide to go with west…request clafflin hall…it was just renovated this summer. and west has the best food. well worth the walk to classes

^ thats the download for BU’s 2009 document “Back door” which was made by the student union and it describes all of the dorms, what they have, their location and pictures. BU used to have it on their student union website but it was deleted.

The dorms are whatever, but nothing gross or unlivable. I personally am enjoying Warren but I can’t wait to get away from security guards and communal bathrooms. Luckily, although the dorms here aren’t the best ever … living off campus is a cheaper alternative and isn’t bad at all since a lot students do that.

The food is awesome. Enough said. [url=http://www.bu.edu/dining/]Boston University | Dining Services](<a href=“File sharing and storage made simple”>http://www.mediafire.com/?9fn91q5r2okaaka)

Thanks for the replies. i can’t wait for my visit of BU!
