Question for those who got accepted

yay for psych majors. we need to create our own thread.

LACC, but I have also attended a community college in Dallas, TX.
I don’t remember how many units I have but it is more than 60.
I have been a part-time student at cc for five years. I have only been able to take 1-2 classes at a time because of work and financial obligations.

@ouimarshmallow

did you mention all that in your essays or what did you write?
i’m curious because i might try to get into ucla again next year :T
your post gives me hope though!
btw how was your gpa major and such?

De Anza College
~85 (~130 with ap’s) units
1-yr transfer

4.0 gpa at time of application (3.97 now due to 1 A-)
decent ec’s
no tap

@ lomkh, How did you finish so many units at De Anza in one year? lol.

i had 15.5 units from classes i took while still in high school, 10 more from the summer after graduating from high school, 19 units in the fall (petitioned to go beyond the unit limit but they wouldn’t let me as an entering freshmen…though my status was actually that of a sophomore with my ap units lol :), 17 in the winter (after dropping a 5 unit math class when i realized it was easier to just finish it up at west valley where i had started math in high school due to the diff between quarter/semester lol), and i had been taking 28 units between de anza and foothill for spring but just recently the company i was interning at offered to hire me as a full-time employee which i decided to take and as a result dropped 11 units of bio/chem leaving me with just 17 units during the spring bringing my actual total to 78.5 units, a bit less than i had originally predicted

Why do some people have so many units? .-.

American River College
65 (something around there…the added AP units throw it off a bit) units
2 year transfer

^it’s cuz those are quarter units lol, you have to divide them by 1.5 to get semester units…

Got into SD, LA

San Diego Mesa College
3.8
90+ units
3 Years (Comp Sci Major Prerequisites are annoying; plus I enjoy my time at CC so I was taking like 9 units per semester for a whole year haha)
