Question for UC TAG GPA and Applicable credits

I’m at a private university and the way it’s looking is that I might get 2 C’s and I’m gonna be going to community college after this semester. What happens if I decide to take pretty much the same courses at community and get a higher grade. Does that replace my old credits in my UC transfer GPA? I’m just inferring if my credits are transferable in the first place and to pretty much retake them to raise my gpa for TAG.

You can retake a C grade class but you will get neither the units nor the grade. It also won’t change the GPA. They will only accept the first course. So unless you want to take it for your own personal gain (such as a refresher), skip it.

Ok, so is there any way to see if the courses transfer like contact them or is up in the air till I apply?

I’m not sure what you’re asking. If you want to know how all the courses might transfer you can ask a UC to evaluate but this is application time so they might not do it.

If you’re asking about 1-to-1 articulations, like will my second intro to psych class replace my first intro to psych class, it’s usually fairly easy to tell based on content. Standardized courses (Micro/Macro Econ, Intro to whatever, Calc 1, American History pre or post civil war, etc) usually match up.
