If one has a number of AP credits, do they count towards the 60/90 units transfer requirement? Or do the 60/90 units have to all be attained at a CC?

AP credits will be counted to meet the required units for transferring.

What category should a community college course, Introduction to Computer Information Science, be placed within on the UC application?

math
science
college elective

collegemom16, check on ASSIST for course transfer info.

Hi Nate,
My son already knows that the class is transferable to UC. He checked that before signing up. What he was unsure about was which academic category to put it under when listing it as a class taken on his UC application.

I’m assuming we are now discussing a freshman application for the a-g courses. This would depend on the course. If the course is listed with a UC-M on the assist site list it under the math section. If not please list it under the “g- college prep elective” section. If it is not placed correctly we will move it to the appropriate section when we complete the evaluation.

If the classes are NOT transferable, should you still list them, and /or send transcripts? For my D. they will eventually show up on her HS transcript, but the school said to wait until she'd completed this semesters courses to have the transcripts sent to the high school.

Oops... is that a highjack?

For a freshman applications please list all "a-g" courses from a college or university even if they are not UC transferable. There is also a new section this year to list non "a-g" courses completed if you don't think the course is an "a-g" course.

Thanks!...
