What choice college did you get? Your 1st, 2nd or 3rd. Did anyone get lower than their 3rd choice?

I am just curious because I would be happy with any of my top 3. However, the aventuer website used to show my first choice on the banner and now it shows my fifth choice.

^ i think it may be because of my major, thats what an officer told me. because im physics, they put me into the appropriate college with facilities or surrounding people or something to that effect. idk.

And yes, they do tend to place you into colleges depending on your major. There seems to be a trend for it. Muir and Marshall are both good for econ, Warren for engineering, Revelle for sciences, ERC for i don’t know, and Sixth for i don’t know.

Each college has it’s own philosophy. Students are placed there accordingly.

warren= fine arts, mathematics-related, engineering

revelle= sciences

erc= politcal /humanitarian

sixth= global studies

thats what i got from the freshman pamphlet

then again u could be put in any of the colleges because of w/e reason, ie space, requirements/prereqs, etc cause each college has its own set of GE’s

I’m Bioengineering Biotechnology major (Jacob’s school of engineering) and I got into John Muir. I think it has to do with space. I was first batch, probably really early picks too (3.9 GPA, TAG & Igetc).

i like that ERC is thought as political/humanitarian!
they want Eleanor Roosevelt College graduates to be Global Citizens and that is all i want to do i want to know as many people from as many different cultures. i like that philosophy so i guess ERC is alright with me.
