Hi, I was accepted as a QuestBridge finalist on October 22. Now, I feel like I have wasted a major opportunity.

The deadline for the applications is November 4 and I have to compile my essays, financial aid forms, taxes, supplemental application, test scores, etc. by then. But to mail it could take several days to arrive.

I have these applications completed, for the most part. But there is no way I can turn them in on time.

Now, I'm thinking I should have tried for Regular Decision in the first place, but I ranked colleges for College Match already, at the urging of a friend.

My question is this:
If I ranked colleges for College Match, but don't submit applications for them, will I still be considered for Regular Admission through QuestBridge?

I feel sort of bad because I rushed my family and my counselor and my teachers to help me meet the Nov. 4 deadline, but now I know I can't make it. :(

So you did not request your official test scores to be sent yet? What about your official transcripts? CSS Profile?

YOU don’t compile your test scores, what are you talking about?

Isn’t the application stuff and essays online?
Why can’t you send the stuff Saturday by overnight mail? Or regular mail on Friday.

Some schools may give a little leeway if you have all your application supplements/essays in, if the other stuff comes a few days late. Others won’t process you for the Match.

There is a QB forum here, maybe someone else has asked this question there.

That is what I’m doing. I’m going to send my financial tax returns on Friday, Nov. 1. My CSS profile and test scores already sent on Oct. 31. I still need to complete a few more essays for my Common App and then send them on the same day I send my tax returns.

Another plug for getting it done. Just think of it as practice for pulling all-nighters at the school of your dreams.

Talk to someone who can support you and keep you on task. Take time off from school if you have to to get to the post office or UPS if there is soemthing that has to be mailed. but like someone ^ said, isn’t most of it online?
