Question From CR practice ?

often several different routes to a particular result is taken as an indication of the correctness of the result, rather than of the capacity for individual expression in science. And always there is the continual synthesis, the blending successive results and ideas, in which individual contributions dissolve into the whole. [ Such strength is awesome and reassuring ; it would be a tricky business to land a person on the Moon if the spaceships trajectory depended on the mood of the astronauts, or if the Moon were always hurrying off to unknow appointment. ]

Q. ["such ... appointments"], the author discusses space exploration primarily to explain how
A.Certain areas of science can capture the public imagination
B careful calculations affect space travel
C the individual scientist contributes to the study of astronomy
D space exploration is an expensive bu necessary part of research in astronomy
E the absence of subjectivity in the natural world has practical benefit

Answer is E
i eliminated A,B,C,D - A . nothing about public imagination , C . same reason nothing about study of astronomy
D. ...... expensive = Nope
i easily found wrong answers
but i dont know why E is Right answer ?
Please can you find evidence from passage why e is right ?
Thank you

The mood of the astronauts is not objective it is subjective, the moon doesn’t change how fast it’s going randomly it is constant (predictable) If it was dependant on the mood of the astronaut it would be subjective and hence “tricky business”

Thank you for your good explanation.
what about practical benefit ? thank you

The practical benefit is the ability to put a man on the moon, or any other scientific achievement really!
