Question on Application Process

Hello guys, I'm currently trying to apply to attend at LSU following graduation. I am currently in my senior year of high school. I have applied on 9/13/2010.

Date application received: 09/13/2010
Date last correspondence sent: 09/29/2010
Current status: A provisional decision has been reached. Applicants are notified of provisional decision by mailed correspondence only. Additional documents are required in order to proceed with the final decision process and correspondence will be (or has been) sent to you listing each document required.

Yeah.. so what does that current status mean? My school has sent them my high school transcripts and my ACT scores are there too. I have gotten no email concerning anything in the past month or so and I'm a tad bit worried. Should I be? Am I missing anything?

No you’re not missing anything. You should expect an email soon and then a letter in the mail about a week after that.

This pretty much means you got accepted. Congrats.

Yeah your admitted. Expect an email or letter anytime now. Good Job!

thanks guys. It’s just I haven’t received any email or mail from them since I turned in my application a while back… hopefully I get some kind of message soon.

Give them a call at their admissions office, actually. I did not get an admissions response out of them until I called. Got an acceptance email the next day, lol.

When you called them, what did you ask/say?

I pretty much said I wanted to double check on the status of all my admission requirements (transcript, SATs/ACTs). I pretty much asked, “have I turned everything in for my application to be reviewed? or has something not been processed yet?” And then I asked about when i would hear about my admission status. The guy was not very helpful be he said i would get the acceptance email within the next day or two.
