question on changing majors

if i apply to L&S and i get in when would i be able to change to engineering?

Probably not. Without knowing more about your situation, there is no way to give you better advice.

Well, it's not a "probably not," because my roommate was able to do it, albeit with a LOT of hard work. But yeah, without knowing more specifics, we aren't able to give you any advice. The most important thing to know is your GPA - if you want to get into engineering, you need to maintain a really high GPA in L&S to be competitive to transfer in.

Ummm...how is that different from "probably not"? If OP is an excellent math/science student and willing to put in a tremendous amount of work, he may be able to transfer. Most people aren't that good at math/science and aren't willing to put in the kind of work required to earn high grades.

I put out that it's not a "probably not" because that just sounds really discouraging, and if the OP has the willpower to put in the work to do it, then he/she will probably successfully transfer in. What "most people" are inclined to do doesn't have a thing to do with what OP will do.
